Edwin Hopkins

Mr. Hopkins has been with Emtec for over eight years. He is involved with the design and inspection of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems for commercial, institutional and medical facilities. Earlier in his career Edwin designed large heat exchangers for the power industry. During his six years in the power industry his duties were, but were not limited to, the thermal and structural design of steam surface condensers and feedwater heaters. He has extensive experience with industry standards for both thermal and structural design (Heat Exchange Institute, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1). He also oversaw the fabrication process as well as inspection of units before shipment. He is a licensed professional engineer and holds several certifications ranging from fire protection design to structural inspections. Ed’s strengths are the design and inspection of Sprinkler, Fire Stopping, Spray on Fire Proofing as well as Structural Special Inspections.
