Tony is a founding partner for Emtec Consulting Engineers. He started his career in New York City in 1966 working with various mechanical contractors and consulting engineers while pursuing an engineering degree from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn at night. Some of the projects he worked on were the World Trade Center, U.S. Customs House, 1633 Broadway Office Building, URIS Theatre, 111 Livingston St. ,Total Energy Plant, Brookdale Hospital Center, Con Edison Astoria Power Plant, Brooklyn College, and New York Telephone Buildings.
During this time, Tony developed extensive experience in administration, direction, and coordination of various contractors in performing mechanical installation work as well as the design and field supervision experience in commercial, industrial, institutional, medical, retail facilities and a strong
background in telecommunications.
As a partner in charge, Tony is experienced in the development, management and coordination of project design teams as well being experienced in cost estimating, contract negotiations and quality control in all phases of mechanical design and inspection work. In addition, he is currently serving as the Technical Director of Special Inspections. Tony’s extensive design experience covers a range of areas including plumbing systems, a variety of fire protection systems, HVAC systems, sustainability and energy conservation.
